Our broadacre property is now certified organic with NASAA. However, before we made this decision we had been farming biologically for 4 or 5 years. The health of the soil was our focus, improving and enhancing soil biomass and biodiversity to increase the nutritional content of our grasses, which in turn leads to improved animal health and our own health. We've successfully weaned ourselves off the chemical regime of conventional agricultural practice.

This manner of food production has not and is not 'taking it easy' - the challenges of nature will always be with us but by working with nature and not against it is the key to healthful nutrient dense food production.

We are typical 'mixed farmers' in that our farming operation covers prime lambs, texel sheep stud, pasture/fodder crops and cereal grains.

Our journey thus far has seen both of us undertake a number of courses/workshops/self education to explore holistic farm management, soil health, water storage capacity and environmental tillage systems. We never stop learning and thoroughly enjoy meeting people from around the world and here in Australia who are on the same paradigm changing life learning course!

Our sheep breeding program here at Lyndale Park has been developed around our core genetics of the Texel sheep originating from the Isle of Texel (off the coast of The Netherlands), the UK and Scandinavia. We've won many ribbons in carcase competitions since we first started breeding Texels, and only recently lost the Australian Record for the highest priced lamb sales in Australian saleyards, a record we held for 6 years!

Each year we have certified organic texel, texel cross and composite ewes and rams available for sale. Likewise we have organic cereal grains, straw, hay and silage available.
